We started the day at 8am with a turn in the Hyperbaric chamber and Flynn was great, he had no problem with his ears and he put the oxygen mask over his mouth and nose. After that we went and had breaky then off to Physical therapy with Mai. Another Km on the treadmill and lots of fun activities.
we then went to the park to play with Ethan.
At 2pm the nurses cam and put an IV line in Flynn in preparation for his lumbar puncture. We waited until 6pm without food or water and finally Flynn was called. I was allowed to be with him while he fell asleep and then the Doctors administered the stem cells. Flynn was back in our room after about 15 minutes and was slowly waking up, he had to lay on his side and keep his head flat for the next four hours. He was a little sad but was ok after a little while and a Skype to mum. It is now 3 hours after the procedure and Flynn has been nibbling on cake and sipping water while keeping flat. I am surprised that he is still awake, maybe it is the Thomas, Franklin and Chuggington DVDs that are keeping him awake.
Hopefully he will be fine tomorrow and not have any headaches. A little pic in the operating room before the procedure.
